Qatar’s vibrant 2026–2027 event calendar offers visitors a diverse lineup of world-class competitions, cultural showcases, and entertainment spectacles across Doha and beyond. From high-profile sporting events like the FIFA Under-17 World Cup and the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Grand Prix to major concerts featuring global icons, the Gulf nation continues to solidify its reputation as a premier destination for travel and leisure.

The autumn and winter seasons promise a rich program of activities under the “Visit Qatar” initiative, organized by Qatar Tourism. The agenda spans heritage festivals, luxury showcases, design biennials, and musical performances, with events running from September 2026 through March 2027.

The season begins with the 10th edition of the S’hail – Katara International Hunting & Falcons Exhibition, taking place September 8–12 at Katara Cultural Village. This heritage-focused event brings together over 260 exhibitors from more than 20 countries, offering falconry demonstrations, live auctions, and workshops on traditional Qatari practices.

On September 10, global superstar John Legend will perform at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) in Doha. The Grammy, Emmy, Oscar, and Tony award winner will present “An Evening of Songs & Stories,” featuring stripped-down versions of his classic hits.

From September 28 to October 3, the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) returns to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC). Organized by Qatar Tourism, the event spans 33,000 square meters and attracts around 30,000 visitors from more than 175 countries, offering luxury showcases, industry talks, and networking opportunities.

Egyptian pop icon Angham will perform at the Al Mayassa Theatre in the QNCC on October 16, continuing a nearly four-decade career in Arabic-language pop music. Known for hits like “Sidi Wesalak,” she made history in 2025 as the first Egyptian female artist to perform at London’s Royal Albert Hall.

Marine enthusiasts can explore the third Qatar Boat Show at Old Doha Port from November 4–7. The event features superyachts, marine brands, and watersports activities such as jet skiing and paddleboarding. The 2024 edition drew over 27,000 visitors from 105 countries.

Design enthusiasts will find inspiration at the second Design Doha Biennial, running from November 5, 2026, to January 31, 2027. The biennial includes exhibitions, talks, and installations across 16 design disciplines, with a headline exhibition curated by Noura Al Sayeh titled “Arab Design Now.”

On November 6, legendary film composer Hans Zimmer will bring “Hans Zimmer Live: The Next Level” to the 974 Stadium Precinct. The performance features a 19-piece band and showcases scores from iconic films like *The Lion King*, *Gladiator*, and *Dune*.

Motorsport returns to Lusail International Circuit with the MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix from November 6–8. The event, a night race under floodlights, offers three days of high-speed action with general admission tickets starting at QAR200.

Qatar will host the FIFA Under-17 World Cup from November 19 to December 13, marking the second of five consecutive editions awarded to the country. The expanded 48-team tournament will feature matches at the Aspire Zone Competition Complex, culminating in a final at Khalifa International Stadium.

The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix returns to Lusail International Circuit from November 27–29, following a successful 2025 event that drew over 162,000 spectators. The 2026 race will not include a Sprint format.

Qatar National Day on December 18 commemorates the unification of the country under Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani in 1878. Celebrations include the Darb Al Saai heritage festival and public events along the Doha Corniche, with free entry.

The Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) will take place January 13–23, 2027, at the Lusail Stadium Precinct. The 2026 edition attracted 490,000 visitors, offering 200 local and 46 international food vendors, live cooking demos, and family-friendly experiences like “Dinner in the Sky.”

Tennis will return to Doha in February 2027 with the Qatar TotalEnergies Open (WTA 1000) and the Qatar ExxonMobil Open (ATP 250), held at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. The women’s event has featured past champions like Iga Świątek, while the men’s tournament has a legacy dating back to 1993, with winners including Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

Mixed martial arts fans can look forward to ONE Championship Qatar at the Aspire Dome on March 26, 2027. The event will feature athletes competing in MMA, Muay Thai, kickboxing, and grappling, with broadcasts reaching audiences in over 190 countries.
