A man in his 30s was arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident in Kells, County Meath, that resulted in the death of 19-year-old cyclist TJ McDonnell. The tragedy occurred on Tuesday evening at Nugentstown, near Kells, when McDonnell, who was training for an Ironman event, was struck by a van while cycling with a friend. The driver fled the scene, but a 30-something-year-old man was detained by Gardaí the following day and questioned at a local station.
