Her Five Children

A woman in an unnamed location has been committed to a psychiatric facility after allegedly threatening her five children with a kitchen knife. Authorities were alerted to the incident by a neighbor who reported hearing a disturbance. Police arrived to find the woman in a state of distress. She was taken into custody without incident and subsequently charged with child endangerment.
The woman's husband has been identified as Doctor D., a local physician. According to neighbors and family friends, Doctor D. has been a constant presence in the woman's life since their marriage. He opposed their union initially but provided substantial financial support, gifting the couple a house, a car, and a sum of money for their wedding.
Doctor D. has been living with the family since the beginning of their marriage. He is reported to have named all five of their children. Witnesses describe an unusual dynamic within the household. The woman took on all domestic responsibilities, including child-rearing and household chores, while Doctor D. maintained a dominant presence in the home.
Neighbors and acquaintances have described Doctor D. as controlling and unsympathetic. They claim he showed little appreciation for the woman's efforts and often criticized her parenting. One neighbor recalled hearing the woman wake up multiple times during the night to tend to the children, including washing diapers and performing other household tasks.
Doctor D.'s behavior has also raised eyebrows. He has been known to frequently visit the family home, often spending time in the marital bedroom. Witnesses describe him as intrusive, noting that he would often "breathe on the napes of their necks" when the children lay in bed, and would "slide in between the two" parents once they fell asleep.
Since the incident, the woman has been admitted to a psychiatric facility for evaluation. Doctors at the facility have described her condition as severe. She has reportedly been inconsolable, often crying alone in her room. However, staff members have noted that she appears to be under the impression that Doctor D. is present with her, despite being physically alone.
The woman's exact mental state and the circumstances leading up to the incident remain unclear. Authorities have not released further details about the case, and Doctor D. has not publicly commented on the situation. The investigation is ongoing.
