High-altitude environments in the region are susceptible to rapid climate shifts, which can destabilize glaciers, alter atmospheric moisture patterns, and increase the frequency of extreme precipitation events. Such conditions heighten the risk of rapid river overflow, landslides, and sudden flash floods across the mountainous terrain separating Nepal and Tibet.
