Embrace Lord Krishna's message of truth, duty, public welfare: Adityanath

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended warm greetings to the people of the state ahead of Krishna Janmashtami, calling upon citizens to imbibe Lord Krishna's timeless messages of truth, righteousness, duty, and public welfare into their daily lives. In an official message addressed to the public, the chief minister urged residents to take a pledge to contribute toward building a developed, self-reliant, and glorious Uttar Pradesh by adhering to the ideals of Lord Krishna.

Emphasizing the connection between spiritual teachings and statecraft, Adityanath stated that Lord Krishna's life as Yogeshwar inspires the core philosophy of welfare-oriented governance. The chief minister outlined that, aligned with this spirit, the Uttar Pradesh government is actively working to ensure dignity and security for citizens at the bottom of the social pyramid. He reiterated the state's commitment to creating a poverty-free Uttar Pradesh, generating new employment opportunities for the youth, strengthening support systems for farmers, and ensuring that daughters receive equal opportunities to progress alongside sons.

Highlighting the social message of Lord Krishna, Adityanath noted that the deity represented social harmony rather than privilege, maintaining deep bonds with people from every stratum of society. He highlighted the legendary friendship between Lord Krishna, the ruler of Dwarka, and his childhood friend Sudama. The chief minister remarked that this relationship demonstrated how genuine human bonds are rooted in mutual affection rather than position, prestige, or material wealth, adding that social harmony, equality, and compassion are essential needs for modern society.

The chief minister also elaborated on the spiritual symbolism embedded in the stories of Lord Krishna. He observed that events such as the subjugation of the serpent Kaliya symbolized the ultimate triumph of righteousness over unrighteousness. Similarly, the act of lifting the Govardhan mountain underscored the necessity of protecting nature, livestock, and an agriculture-driven way of life, while also demonstrating that collective unity provides society with the strength to overcome immense adversity.

Adityanath emphasized that Uttar Pradesh holds a unique spiritual status as the sacred land associated with the divine pastimes and eternal teachings of Lord Krishna. Key historical and cultural locations such as Mathura, Gokul, Vrindavan, Govardhan, Barsana, and Nandgaon continue to act as living centers of the state's rich Sanatan cultural consciousness and heritage. He concluded that Lord Krishna's eternal message of action, knowledge, and duty continues to provide guidance to humanity across all generations.
